As a Housekeeper, you are essential to maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of both individual units and common areas throughout the community. Your attention to detail ensures residents move into spotless, welcoming homes and enjoy a clean environment in shared spaces. This role requires pride in presentation, time management, and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Unit Turnover Cleaning
- Clean and restore vacated apartments to “make-ready” status per property standards.
- Ensure all surfaces, appliances, and fixtures are sanitized and polished.
- Report any damage, unusual wear, or maintenance issues discovered during cleaning.
Common Area Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry rooms, hallways, leasing offices, and model units.
- Perform daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning tasks as scheduled.
- Assist with light upkeep of exterior areas, such as entranceways or patios.
Quality Assurance
- Deliver consistent, high-standard results with each task.
- Take pride in the presentation and overall condition of assigned areas.
- Report low inventory of cleaning supplies or malfunctioning equipment.
Team Support
- Follow assigned cleaning schedules and collaborate with maintenance and management teams.
- Perform additional housekeeping or property-related duties as assigned.
Key Qualities:
- Organized and able to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.
- Ability to multitask, manage time, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of cleaning agents and their proper usage.
- Capable of operating cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Able to read labels and safety warnings and occasionally use a keyboard or tablet for checklists.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Approximately 85% of the shift involves standing or walking.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching overhead.
- Climb stairs, step stools, or ladders as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and operate doors, cabinets, and light equipment.
Schedule & Travel:
- May be scheduled for mornings, afternoons, or weekends depending on property needs.
- Some travel may be required for properties within the same management group.
