Touro Property Management is a growing property management company specializing in the acquisition and management of apartment properties in the Dallas metro area. We are looking for a Make Ready Technician to maintain and repair items within the property and ensure units are in good order ready for use.
Responsibilities
- Complete all needed repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in by following the make-ready checklist
- Assist with preventative maintenance and ensure vacant units meet the established quality standards for re-leasing.
- Responds to service requests in a timely manner.
- Performs painting and drywall repair duties
- Replaces or repairs, windows, latches, screens, hinges, shelves, baseboards, ceiling fans, lights, etc.
- Change all locks after the unit is vacated.
- Inspects and performs minor repairs and replacements to plumbing
- Assesses HVAC and reports any issues or repairs needed
- Demonstrates an eye for detail and pride in tasks completed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated repair and maintenance abilities, handyman experience a plus
- Able to follow directions to safely perform duties.
- Service oriented; ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Able to operate basic repair tools and equipment safely
- Occasionally use a keyboard.
- Able to read instructions or safety warnings on products and equipment
Physical Requirements
- Approximately 85% standing or walking
- Frequently bend, stoop, squat, gripping and reaching upward
- Operate hand and power tools
- Ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and or step stools.
- Lift up to 50 pounds
Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
